Bringing a new baby into the world is one of life’s most beautiful and emotional milestones—and it’s such an honor to be trusted to capture those precious first days. At Kate Buckles Photography, our newborn sessions are designed to preserve the tenderness, tiny details, and love-filled moments that pass all too quickly.

But here’s the thing: our schedule fills up fast, especially during busy seasons like fall and spring. That’s why we always encourage expecting parents to give us a heads up about your due date early on—so we can make sure we have space reserved just for you!

📆 Why It’s Important to Reach Out Early

Unlike regular sessions that are booked on a fixed date, newborn sessions need a little flexibility. Babies don’t always arrive on schedule, so we plan around your estimated due date to ensure we can accommodate your session within that ideal newborn window—typically within the first 7–14 days of life.

By letting us know ahead of time, we can:

  • Tentatively reserve time on our calendar around your due date

  • Be ready to adjust as needed once baby arrives

  • Send you all the prep info so you're not stressing once your little one is here

✨ What to Expect from a Newborn Session

Our newborn sessions are relaxed, baby-led, and filled with warmth and love. Whether you want soft, cozy studio portraits or lifestyle images at home, we’ll make the process easy and meaningful for your family.

We focus on:

  • Capturing tiny fingers and toes

  • Sweet snuggles with parents and siblings

  • The calm, sleepy beauty of those early days

🤍 Don’t Wait Until Baby Arrives!

If you're expecting, now is the perfect time to reach out. Whether you're newly pregnant or in your final weeks, giving us a heads up allows us to plan accordingly and ensures we can be there for you when the time comes.
