Preparing for your photo session is exciting—and we want to make sure you’re feeling confident, stress-free, and ready to shine! Whether it’s a family shoot, maternity session, senior portraits, or newborn photos, having a few key items with you can make all the difference. Here's a quick checklist of must-haves to bring to your photoshoot:

1. Extra Outfits & Accessories
Even if we’ve already planned your look, having a backup outfit or a few accessories (like jackets, hats, scarves, or jewelry) gives us options and can add fun variety to your gallery.
2. Snacks & Water (Especially for Kids!)
Keeping everyone happy and energized is key—especially for little ones. Bring easy, non-messy snacks and a water bottle to keep things running smoothly.
3. Touch-Up Items
A small mirror, brush or comb, blotting paper or powder, and lip balm or lipstick can help keep you looking photo-ready throughout the session.
4. Comfort Items for Kids
A favorite toy, blanket, or even a little treat can help your child feel more relaxed and happy in front of the camera. Sometimes the best smiles come from a little bribery!
5. Props or Sentimental Items
If you have a prop or keepsake you’d love to include (ultrasound photos, heirloom jewelry, a graduation cap, etc.), we’d love to incorporate it into your shoot! Just let us know ahead of time.
6. Shoes You Love (And a Comfy Pair Too!)
Don’t forget your footwear! Whether you're going barefoot in the sand or rocking boots in a field, the right shoes complete your look. Bring a pair of comfy ones for walking between spots if we’re outdoors.
7. Your Best Attitude
The most important thing to bring? A positive, relaxed mindset! We’ll guide you every step of the way, so all you need to do is show up and enjoy making memories.
Ready to create something beautiful together? At Kate Buckles Photography, we’re all about making your session fun, easy, and meaningful. Bring these must-haves, and you’ll be set for an amazing shoot!
