Senior year is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone—and your senior photo session should reflect everything that makes you, well… you!

That’s why at Kate Buckles Photography, we highly recommend bringing multiple outfit options to your senior session. It might seem like a small detail, but it can completely transform your gallery and make your photos more dynamic, personal, and fun.

Here’s why a few outfit changes go a long way:

1. Show Off Different Sides of Your StyleYou’re not one-dimensional, and your photos shouldn’t be either! A casual everyday look, something more dressy or trendy, and maybe even something meaningful (like a jersey, cap & gown, or favorite accessory) help showcase the full range of your personality and style.

2. Create a Variety of Looks in One SessionChanging outfits is like creating multiple mini photo shoots in one! Want a cozy, fall vibe in one look and something bold and editorial in another? Done. You’ll end up with a gallery full of variety without having to book multiple sessions.

3. Get More Mileage Out of Your PhotosSenior photos get used everywhere—yearbook ads, graduation announcements, party invitations, social media, and framed prints for your home. Different outfits give you options for different uses (and keep your photos from all looking the same!).

4. Feel More Confident in What You’re WearingHaving a few outfit options gives you the chance to change into something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. Sometimes it takes one look to “warm up” and another to really shine in front of the camera.

5. Tell Your Story More FullySenior year is the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next. Outfits can help tell that story—where you’ve been and where you’re headed. Think favorite high school hoodie and something more grown-up and future-focused.

Our Favorite Tip? Mix It Up!• Bring a casual outfit you’d wear on a normal day• Add something dressy or stylish for that “wow” moment• Include something personal—sports gear, dance shoes, a college tee, etc.• Don’t forget accessories and a change of shoes!

Not sure what to wear? I’m happy to help you plan the perfect looks for your session. Your senior photos should feel just like you—confident, expressive, and full of personality.

Let’s make this once-in-a-lifetime experience unforgettable—from outfit one to outfit three!
