Preparing to leave the house with a newborn can feel like packing for a week-long trip—diapers, blankets, extra outfits, the list goes on! The good news? When you book your newborn session with Kate Buckles Photography, you can leave most of that at home.

We want this to be a calm and easy experience for you, so here’s a quick list of things you don’t need to bring:
✨ 1. Props & Accessories
No need to stress about buying special props or outfits! We have a full collection of wraps, blankets, hats, headbands, and backdrops designed specifically for newborn photography. Everything is soft, clean, and perfectly styled to make your session beautiful.
✨ 2. Bulky Gear
You can leave the big baby gear—like swings, bouncers, or pillows—at home. Our studio is fully equipped with everything needed to keep baby safe, cozy, and comfortable.
✨ 3. A Perfectly Happy Baby
Babies cry, fuss, and need breaks—and that’s completely normal! You don’t need to stress about having your baby on a perfect schedule or making sure they’re “photo-ready.” We work at your baby’s pace, allowing plenty of time for feedings, cuddles, and soothing.
✨ 4. A Closet Full of Outfits
While you’re welcome to bring a special outfit if you have one in mind, most of our newborn portraits focus on baby wrapped or in minimal, timeless pieces. This keeps the focus on those tiny details you’ll want to remember forever.
✨ 5. Extra Stress
The only thing you need to bring is yourselves, your baby, and the basics (diaper bag essentials). We take care of the rest. Your session is meant to be a peaceful experience—so leave the stress behind and let us handle the details.
💌 Relax, We’ve Got You Covered
Your newborn session is all about capturing love, connection, and those once-in-a-lifetime first moments. We’ll create a calm, stress-free environment so you can simply enjoy watching the magic unfold.
