I Take Care of the Details

Over the years, I've carefully built a newborn studio filled with everything needed to create the timeless, organic images you see throughout my portfolio.

That means you don't need to shop for tiny outfits or wonder which wrap will photograph best.

I provide:

  • Beautiful wraps and swaddles

  • Newborn outfits and rompers

  • Bonnets and headbands

  • Soft layers and blankets

  • Baskets, bowls, beds, and timeless props

  • Carefully selected accessories that coordinate beautifully together

Every item has been chosen to create a classic, natural style that keeps the focus where it belongs—on your beautiful baby.

What Should Baby Wear?

The easiest answer?

Just dress your baby in something comfortable and easy to remove.

A simple zip-up sleeper or footed pajamas are perfect.

Once you arrive, we together will select wraps, outfits, and accessories that fit your baby and complement the overall style of your session.

There is no need to buy a special newborn outfit unless you have something that is especially meaningful to your family.

Have Something Special? Bring It!

One of my favorite parts of newborn photography is incorporating meaningful keepsakes.

If you have something you'd love to include, I'd be honored to work it into your session whenever possible.

Some ideas include:

  • A handmade blanket from Grandma

  • Dad's military hat or uniform item

  • A family Bible

  • A meaningful stuffed animal

  • An heirloom outfit that's been passed down through generations

  • A special quilt

  • A personalized name sign

These little details often become some of the most treasured images because they help tell your family's unique story.

What Should Parents Wear?

The only outfits you really need to think about are your own.

Soft neutral colors photograph beautifully and help create a timeless look.

Cream, ivory, beige, soft gray, sage green, dusty blue, and other earth tones are always wonderful choices.

Simple, comfortable clothing keeps the focus on your connection with your baby rather than on what you're wearing.

If you're ever unsure, you're always welcome to send me photos of outfit options before your session. I'm happy to help!

What Else Should We Bring?

There are just a few practical things I recommend bringing:

  • Extra bottles or feeding supplies if needed

  • A pacifier (if your baby uses one)

  • Extra diapers and wipes

  • Formula or pumped milk, if applicable

That's really about it!

Everything else is already here waiting for you.

Kate's Tip

One of the best things you can bring is...patience.

Newborn sessions are completely baby-led.

If your little one needs to eat, cuddle, or simply take a break, we'll pause.

There is never a rush.

Some of my favorite images happen after a feeding, during a yawn, or while your baby is snuggled safely in your arms.

Those quiet moments are just as beautiful as the posed portraits.

Relax...I've Got This

I know those first few weeks with a newborn can feel like a whirlwind.

You're adjusting to a new routine, learning your baby's cues, and probably functioning on less sleep than you'd like.

The last thing I want is for your photography session to add more stress.

That's why I've created a studio experience where so much is already taken care of for you.

From wraps and props to gentle guidance throughout the session, my goal is for you to simply arrive, take a deep breath, and enjoy this special season with your growing family.

Ready to Meet Your Little One?

These tiny details—sleepy stretches, tiny fingers, little yawns, and cozy snuggles—change so quickly.

I'd love to help you preserve them in a relaxed, welcoming environment where you can simply enjoy your baby while I take care of the rest.

If you're expecting or have recently welcomed your little one, I'd love to help you create timeless newborn portraits that your family will treasure for generations.
